As part of our Scotland topic the children have been enjoying lots of the Katie Morag stories by Mairi Hedderwick. They wrote postcards at the start of the topic and more lengthy letters last week. The children enjoyed looking round the room at a variety of letters, picking out the key features before writing their own. Mrs Thomas and I have been so impressed with the children’s growing confidence at independent writing.
