This week we have started our new topic, Elements of Art. The children began by responding to a variety of different pieces of art. Thinking about how it made them feel, what they thought the pictures were of and how the artist created them.
The class then enjoyed the opportunity to create their own pieces of art. They could choose from a variety of art materials and create whatever they wanted! It was brilliant to see so many unique creations. Some people chose to use pencil or pen, others used paints, oil pastels and even collage.
We can’t wait to see what amazing art the children will be able to produce as we work our way through the various elements of art in the coming weeks.
